Dear Fairhaven Residents, Staff and Family Members, AMENDED LETTER
I hope this letter finds you and your family well. Daily we wake to news of COVID-19, its impact on our world, nation and local communities. Now we see encouraging signs of renewal and restoration. Communities and organizations continue re-opening. To ensure a safe and responsible approach to re-opening Fairhaven, we want to keep you informed of current actions being taken to ensure the safety of our community.
Currently, we have no resident or staff positive cases of COVID-19. With these continued good results, we are maintaining our Phase 1 re-opening level with all the benefits previously outlined including Independent Living resident access to leave campus 4 days each week without self-isolation. Dining options also remain open at 25% capacity for our Beasman and Copper Kettle dining rooms. The new, outdoor dining venue on the Pool Patio for grab-n-go grilled items daily at 4:30 p.m. is becoming quite popular. And with the Fitness Center and Pool Facility re-open at 10% of maximum occupancy, participation is enthusiastically strong.
We are continuing our weekly staff testing of our WillowBrooke Court and OakBridge Terrace employees, in compliance with State guidance for testing employees of health centers such as ours. For the week ended June 19th, all staff test results were negative which is great news!
Monday, June 29th, we will mass test all Fairhaven residents and staff. While the gathering process will be similar to last time, the actual nasal swab test this time is gentler and encouragingly less invasive. This testing provides important data as we prepare to evaluate our community’s readiness to further reduce restrictions in a safe and responsible manner. It will be through our collective actions in following protocols that we are able to reduce restrictions and return to a greater sense of normalcy.
Please remember to monitor your health, wash your hands frequently, wear your mask or face covering, and practice social distancing.
We remain committed to keeping you informed as we move through this difficult time.
